Yeh, it s a luxury phone, however would you buy one for £400-500 for some small added features and upgrades?

I’ve gone a little download mad, and i’m always looking for more. I’ve only had my iphone 3GS a week and so far I have a fruit machine game, sleep cycle application, period tracker for when i get them back after pregnancy! anatomy quiz, a spending finance app, a cook book, a photo security application, a racing game, a movie quiz and a what to expect when expecting book! My favourite music varies, however right now i’m quite into Eminem, The chicago soundtrack, Lady Gaga and Michael bolton.. My favourite app. Usually the quiz ones. I love a good quiz and i spend hours in bed at night playing the quizzes to the disgust of my poor neglected husband. He’s regretting getting me the iphone now, because i spend more time on it than i do with him. I also want to improve my racing GTI game. I played it once and crashed 31 times, so i have to get better at that as i was not happy at coming last. In fact i was rather annoyed. Guess that’s why i don’t drive..

3G is the difference, which is the type of network it’s on. It’s got higher bandwidth and able to accomodate more users and in turn, the effect is faster data exchanges (Faster internet).
do not get the 1st gen iphone, get the 3G

I would say that the price of the iPhone 3G will fall when the alleged “New iPhone” (Dare i say it) surfaces.
Not sure about retailers for the iPhone 3G after the new one is released however i have a hunch that Apple will be selling them reconditioned which by Apple’s standards will be as good as new!

there is no such thing as an iphone on pay as you go.
they HAVE to be on a plan because of all the things that it has on it.

The 3G works perfectly in public places and at other people’s houses. At home, the 3G is fine if I’m outside of my house. But once I step inside, it loses the signal. (I’m with O2)
So why does this happen and how can I solve this problem?

You have a poor signal near where you live and when you go indoors its even less. It could also be you live in a “new” house and the walls are plasterboard with foil backing, if this is so the only thing yo can do is stand near a window

I think that the only major difference between the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3G S is that the 3G S is a little faster and has a compass. If you wanted a lot of space on your phone, you would get the 16 GB. But if you didn’t need much space and don’t mind getting a phone with smaller storage capacity, you could get the 8 GB. Right now, the 3G is selling for cheaper than 3G S, however it only comes in 8 GB.
