Both the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3G S have bluetooth capabilites, they have just chosen not to activate it yet.

There is a big software update coming on the 17th June that will add Bluetooth support to all iPhone 3G and 3Gs models.

Flash support is still non existant

Apple announced that it will be released on the 21th of June; which is today. The update will be available around 9am pacific time; according to spectators. iTunes 9.2 is available for download, which supports the iOS 4 software update.

3 SIM cards works only with 3G enabled handsets, see if you can see a very small 3G logo on the top of the network bar indicators, and if you can see it and your phone is unlocked then you can definitely use your iPhone 3G with a 3 SIM card.

ive got an unlocked 3g aswell and im on three and it works although three are sh*t and i only get 1-2 bars as aposed to full with o2

Hi if the i-phone is unlocked then yes it will work ok the only thing that will be different is the settings in the phone itself for the internet & mms but for your your own peace of mind & to make sure it definately will work is try a 3 sim in the phone ! you could always be a bit cheeky & pop into a “3″ store & just say that your having problems with a “3″ sim you have & just get them to pop a “3″ sim in for you to see if it works … hope this helps .. sly

This is a grey area. You should be able to, i know on 3 if you have a contract simcard you cant then put the simcard in a 3 payg handset. Because at some point the sim will become invalid.

i dont know whats the situation now, i had this three pay as you go sim. which i used on the phone thr three people gave me initially. but then i decided to change the phone as tht one was shit. when i switch on new phone with 3 sim in that i worked fine but i got a meaage that you are not allowed to use any phone but three with a three sim. i just ignored and kept using it. i recieved same message next couple of days and i didnot stop using phone. The result was that they bloked my sim finally. and i lost everything on the sim. so i would advice contact three before using other phone. because it says in their terms and conditions that you will use only three ohone for the services.

3 network sims are a barstuad to have unlocked, the code for that perticular type isn’t about that much an people I know have been charged up to £40 to enable their sim.

3 insurance sucks as well, so I’m glad you never bothered with it. You’ll get your old model cheaper than the insurance minimum £100 an all the hassle from ebay.

You can use it in your new phone but be warned it will cost you to get it unblocked for 3 network sims, there not like other sims. Even if the phone is unblocked it must be done specifically for the 3 network.

3G is a way of video calling, its on loads of different phones and networks.
3 is a network.
If the phone is on contract then it should be insured, and yes you can get a phone unlocked, but its illegal and worse if its on contract…

If you want to unlock it search the internet. All you normally need to do is type a code via a text message and send it to a number. This should unlock it, but again, its illegal lol
